Over the past six years, Columbia Votes has grown from a classic campus voter registration effort to a full partnership between a faculty champion and students who are empowered to take a leadership role in voter engagement work on campus. In this session, the founder of Columbia Votes and one of the students will present how we develop, refine and implement our ideas collectively, harnessing the strengths of both faculty and students to create effective voter engagement strategies and partnerships, on campus and off. Attendees will work collaboratively on strategies to adopt and adapt these practices for use on their campuses.
