This session is sponsored by the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) and is part of the Legacies of American Slavery Project which is a multi-year project of CIC, providing a variety of opportunities for member institutions, their faculty members and students, and community-based partners to participate in research, teaching and learning, and public discussions about the legacies of American slavery. Meredith College's project focused on training young women of color on the knowledge and skills to enter public service and participate as active and equal members.
