As of Summer 2024, Central Connecticut State University's Center for Community Engagement and Social Research (CCESR) has developed a Community Engaged Scholars Program designed to provide a collaborative space and programmatic support for faculty interested in developing community-centered coursework and applied research projects. For this roundtable discussion, our team will take attendees through our process of creating the Community Engaged Scholars Program. The dialogue will include practices of intentionality and mindfulness surrounding the nature of community engaged work and how interdisciplinary work results in innovative methods and a strong support group for faculty of all ranks and backgrounds.
