The Academic Programs Team (APT) within Michigan State University’s Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL) focuses on supporting and advancing community-engaged teaching and learning (CETL), guided by anti-racism, equity, and co-creation. For the past four years, APT has led a Community of Practice (COP) dedicated to CETL, supported by the MSU Office for Faculty and Staff Development. Open to faculty, staff, and graduate students, these COPs provide access to specialized content, foster idea exchange, and build networks of practitioners. Since its launch in 2021-22, COP themes have included critical CETL, the Social Change Wheel, and anti-racist CETL. This session will share an overview of COP development, facilitation strategies, lessons learned, and outcome data demonstrating impact on community-engaged faculty and practitioners.
