Description

"Senior Design Challenge" is an undergraduate course pairing teams of seniors with community organizations in and around New Hampshire and Vermont. Teams learn and use "design thinking"--a structured process for clarifying challenges and generating user-friendly solutions--to coalesce across their different majors and support the organization in addressing a concern. Participants in this session, guided by the course professor and a community-engagement facilitator, will understand how design thinking bridges campus and community, how it unifies teams of students chosen from diverse disciplines, and how it might be adapted to different curricular and co-curricular contexts.
