Explore how integrating experiential service learning into college curricula can transform higher education and develop future problem solvers. Co-facilitated by Sophia Trigg, Director of the Internship & Experiential Learning Program at the University of Vermont, Eric Schwarz, CEO of College for Social Innovation (CFSI), and a CFSI alum, the session will center around key success factors for turning extracurricular service into curricular experiences, while stressing the importance of impact measurement. Participants will hear about CFSI’s 17 semesters of impact data and their newest tool for assessing how experiential learning builds essential workplace skills. Attendees will explore best practices for measuring impact of community engaged learning while gaining actionable strategies to implement similar programs to enhance equitable access to high-impact learning.
