Description

Faculty at eight campuses across the globe have developed an innovative core course for a globally recognized, multi-university certificate in civic engagement. With over 50 Network Collaborative Courses (NCC) being taught across 20 institutions in Bard’s network, faculty and institutions are developing creative solutions to make quality education accessible. The course incorporates a project-based, community engagement model designed for online and multi-section, in-person sessions held simultaneously. The course enrolls 100s of students from over 20 countries including Afghanistan, Ghana, Haiti, Lebanon, Myanmar, Palestine, and the U.S. Using the course as a case study, participants will explore methods of collaborative course design; experience an interactive teaching tool; and learn about multi-institutional cooperations.
