This session will introduce participants to Trenton Arts at Princeton (TAP), a collaboration between Princeton University and the Trenton Public Schools that aims to build a community of young artists through student leadership and volunteer opportunities, youth programming, community performances, and more. Since its founding five years ago, TAP has been committed to incorporating community voice into every level of its programming. Presenters from Princeton University and the Trenton Public Schools will guide participants to evaluate TAP as a case study for arts-focused community engagement that brings together students across two different communities via near-peer mentoring and co-learning models.
