Purpose: This session highlights how a YPAR initiative with Black male youth, in collaboration with university researchers, fostered critical allyship to address gun violence in their community. Objectives: Participants will explore the YPAR model, discuss youth-adult power-sharing, and reflect on how youth voices can be integrated into their own initiatives through university-community partnerships. Key Takeaways: Attendees will learn how YPAR can position youth as social justice leaders, mobilize communities for collective action, and foster long-term change. Through dialogue with the presenters and a final reflection activity, participants will consider how to apply the session's insights to their own contexts, fostering sustainable, youth-led change.
