Description

At Tulane University, service-learning is a graduation requirement, offering students the chance to engage with a city that is demographically and culturally different from their own. Through collaborations with community organizations, students gain a deeper understanding of local challenges and contribute to building an inclusive, equitable society. This presentation will explore the principles guiding our work, strategies for fostering community partnerships, and our vision for enhancing impact. We will discuss challenges and successes from our twenty years of community-engaged partnerships while facilitating dialogue among participants to share examples from their contexts. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies for cultivating reciprocal partnerships and civic responsibility.
