In this interactive session, we will explore how individuals and campuses can build community partnerships by centering the voice of the community within their programming. Drawing on our extensive experience working within various institutions of higher education, we will discuss effective strategies for reaching out to diverse community partners. These partnerships aim to enhance diversity, engage students and practitioners, and align with the conference theme, "Uniting through Public Purpose: Coalition Building for Impact." Participants will gain insights into the knowledge, skills, and practical applications necessary for fostering authentic campus-community relationships. The workshop will emphasize the importance of genuine collaboration and mutual benefit, ensuring that both campuses and communities thrive together.
