The Auraria campus has a unique atmosphere to bolster student engagement as three institutions (Community College of Denver, MSU Denver, and CU Denver) share the campus. To maximize civic engagement among those college students during the 2024 election, the Auraria Votes initiative employs Voter Engagement Student Ambassadors (VESAs) to engage other students through individual dialogue, social media, class presentations, and community events. Students who are reached through these means were asked to participate in a pre and post-election survey to measure their civic engagement and electoral participation. This session will explore the data collected and what it might mean for future voter engagement participation.
