Despite recent gains, community college student voting rates were nearly 10 percentage points lower than those of four-year universities in 2020. In 2024, a national effort was launched to ensure that community colleges had the resources and support needed to engage students in elections in nonpartisan ways. Organizations such as the Students Learn Students Vote Coalition and the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge saw a stark increase in community college participation in their programs, but is the effort working? We invite individuals from community colleges to join this roundtable to discuss what is working to engage students on their campuses, what resources are still needed, and how to help community colleges stay engaged in this work between major presidential elections.
