Description

Deep understanding of current context and history. Knowledge of upstream causes that keep social problems in place and their downstream effects. Identifying leverage points. Collaborating with stakeholders, especially community partners. These are some of the hallmarks of systems practice. According to Acumen Academy, “Systems Practice is a way to make sense of complex environments and uncover the dynamics that have the greatest potential for impact.” In this *hybrid* session Swarthmore College students will show how they have leveraged network connections, deepening their knowledge base, cultivating relationships, and learning with and from community partners while working towards systems change.
