Erin is both a biology professor and the director of community engaged learning at Utah Tech in St. George, UT. She runs the City Alliance program (the EPIC-N program) at Utah Tech and has spent years researching native plants in the southwest on public lands. She is the co-founder and director of the Outdoor Leadership Academy (OLA), creating outdoor experiences in public lands that reduce barriers for those who do not traditionally spend time outdoors and runs the Clark County, NV-based Outdoor Recreation Leaders Program that trains others to run trips using OLA as a model. Erin is also director of eSMART, a summer camp intended to encourage and promote girls' interests in the STEM fields that is sponsored by the local branch of the American Association of University Women in partnership with Utah Tech.
