This sessions furthers a discussion on the competency model presented in "Community Engagement Professional in Higher Education: A Competency Model for An Emerging Field" (Dostilio, 2017). This book expounded on a 2015 study that explored and identified the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that are central to supporting effective community engagement practices between higher education and communities. The field has evolved since the 2015 era. During this session, facilitators will present recent survey data on the competency model, and solicit additional understanding and feedback about the areas of practice most prevalent among Campus Compact members.
