Thanks to a grant from the Lumina Foundation, five Student Design Fellows and six Campus Innovation Fellows were selected to reimagine student civic leadership development for the Newman Civic Fellows and future Campus Compact student programs. Campus Innovation Fellows were awarded up to $5,000 to try new ways to enhance their campus's Newman Civic Fellowship program, and Student Design Fellows were selected to lead a two-year student-design process to examine the current state of student civic leadership and ask students what they want moving forward.
