This roundtable explores the innovative, emerging possibilities of undergraduate Carceral Studies programs. As a fundamentally interdisciplinary approach to criminal justice and mass incarceration, Carceral Studies curricula have attracted diverse students and faculty into rich areas of research and professional development. What should these programs teach students, and how should they be organized? What unique possibilities for service learning, community engagement, and interdisciplinary inquiry do Carceral Studies programs offer? This group will brainstorm ideas and share resources related to academic program development.
