This roundtable considers how engaged scholarship grants can catalyze curricular community-engaged programs in higher education. The session offers insights about what the College of the Holy Cross, a liberal arts college in Worcester, MA, learned from its equity-centered community-engaged research grant program, Scholarship in Action, funded by the Mellon Foundation in 2018. Roundtable participants will hear about the rationale for developing the initiative, the successes and challenges of supporting longer-term research collaborations, and how the perspectives of community partners, faculty, and students shaped the program. There will be time to share strategies and experiences from roundtable participants.
