This session will explore the most pressing challenges commonly faced by community-engaged faculty and will present strategies for helping these faculty members thrive in the academy. Participants will be introduced to three recently published open-access resources designed to provide campus stakeholders with information about and specific ideas for supporting community-engaged faculty. The resources were collaboratively written for three specific campus audiences: faculty search committee members; department chairs; and early-to-mid-career community-engaged faculty members. These resources were not designed to be proscriptive, but rather to serve as a set of tools that each individual can draw upon as they navigate their institutional context and positionality. Discussion during the session will focus on ways for participants to adapt and use these resources on their own campuses.
