Description

Launched in September of 2023, Community Collaborators is a co-curricular civic engagement cohort that provides students the opportunity to provide support to local non-profit and community organizations for a period of either 10 weeks or 6 months. Through corresponding guided reflections and workshops, students are encouraged to define their civic identities by exploring their knowledge and understanding of the dynamics that privilege and power play in creating both access and barriers and strengthening their ability to identify and connect symptoms of social issues to the systems that create and perpetuate them. In this session, participants will receive a general program overview, curriculum resources, implementation tactics, assessment data, and feedback from participating students and partnering community organizations.
