Description

Data mapping and research from Food Recovery Network (FRN) show that community colleges are more often than their 4-year higher education peers situated in communities that a) are experiencing higher rates of food insecurity and b) are surrounded by surplus food. This conversation discusses FRN's methodology and provides information on several pilot programs that focus on feeding more people faster by centering community colleges as hubs for food access. The session includes an invitation to work with FRN to implement on-the-ground pilots in local communities.
