The state of Maryland took the initiative to provide free vaccinations to those in need but needed an effective distribution system. Through the Vaccine Volunteer Project, Hopkins students and the state were able to increase the efficiency of vaccination efforts and make a difference in the healthcare system in Baltimore. This presentation will showcase the resilience of the state of Maryland and Hopkins students during the COVID-19 health crisis and will detail how the student volunteer coordinator’s experiences shaped her values and the values of those she worked with by providing volunteer testimonials and thought-provoking questions to the audience.
