This session will describe the formation and function of a network of community engagement professionals at a large public research-intensive university so its members can collaborate, share resources, and push for institutional change. Participants are encouraged to bring their own stories of collective action for change so we can create a space of co-learning. Participants will leave with more knowledge of how to create and sustain a network of community engagement professionals.
- Analyze institutionalization of shared practice and communication across multiple contexts
- Discuss strategies for cultivating power as community-engaged practitioners
- Reflect upon barriers and opportunities related to equity-minded institutional change
