This workshop session offers a model of a general education curriculum that includes experiential and diversity learning requirements that promote students’ reflection on issues of power, privilege, and inequity. Participants will have opportunities to explore how general education could be used to promote equity and justice at other institutions. The session will offer examples of service learning and diversity learning outcomes and share sample general education syllabi that incorporate these outcomes from diverse disciplinary perspectives.
