Dylan Rexroth has put community engagement and public service at the center of his academic and professional career. Driven by a personal connection to poverty, Dylan pursued opportunities in tutoring, community research, nonprofit program evaluation, grant writing, and grant-making through his community-engaged scholarship courses. While at the Honey W. Nashman Center, he served as a Community Engagement Assistant for the poverty relief organization Wider Circle and as a volunteer manager for Miriam's Kitchen, a nonprofit whose mission is to end homelessness in Washington, DC. Dylan also served as the assistant program manager at the Nashman Center for their engageDC and SMARTDC programs. In this role, Dylan mentored students who shared his passion for service and equipped them with professional skills to make a lasting impact on the communities they serve while placed at local nonprofits.
Dylan holds a BA in Human Services, Social Justice, and Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from George Washington University. He is currently an Economic Development Analyst for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, overseeing affordable housing grants in the Department of Community and Economic Development.
