Henry R. Cunningham, Ph.D., is assistant vice president for engaged scholarship at the University of Louisville, where he served as the inaugural director of community engagement. He co-founded the University of Louisville International Service Learning Program, twice named the best international education program by NASPA. Cunningham’s research focuses on university-community partnerships and institutionalizing community engagement. He co-edited Library Collaborations and Community Partnerships: Enhancing Health and Quality of Life, co-edits the International Journal of Research on Service Learning and Community Engagement, and reviews for the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification. He is the 2023 recipient of the Barbara A. Holland Scholar-Administrator Award.
