Speaker Bio
Shalom Staub, Ph.D. has spent 44 years working in higher education, government, and the nonprofit sector to catalyze organizational change. He completed 8 years as Assistant Vice Provost and Executive Director of UCLA's Center for Community Engagement, building its community-engagement infrastructure and co-leading its 2026 Carnegie Community Engagement (re)Classification. Previously, as Associate Provost at Dickinson College for 16 years, he launched its service-learning curriculum and led the effort that earned Dickinson its first Carnegie Classification in 2020. He was founding President/CEO of the Institute for Cultural Partnerships. He holds a Ph.D. in Folklore and Folklife from the University of Pennsylvania.
