Maurice Powe is an undergraduate student at UMass Amherst, passionate about Social Justice. Growing up in a predominately white town he struggled to fit in. Consequently, he’s become fascinated with topics regarding race, and now desires to pursue a career that's centered around creating racial equity.

Currently, he is enrolled in a program at UMass Amherst called the Community Scholars Program (CSP), which centers around Civic Engagement and Service Learning. Through this program, he has gotten to analyze several community organizations and learn about ways in which he can make a difference in society.
