Nicole Webster is a professor at the Pennsylvania State University with over fifteen years of academic research and teaching experience in both formal and nonformal sectors across the African and Caribbean diasporas. Her research primarily focuses on understanding the impact of civic engagement experiences on the economic, social, and personal development of youth and young adults in historically marginalized communities. Primarily using community-based research approaches, she offers a way to redress the underrepresentation of Black youth who are disproportionately underrepresented in the literature of youth civic engagement.
