This session will explore ways that departments can structure the design, expectations, and experiences for all their majors to foster greater civic engagement and sense of public responsibility as part of students’ learning in the discipline and their preparation for careers. The presenters also will explore ways to cultivate a civic lens in the many students who work while pursuing their degrees.
