Planning for Systematic Data Collection on Campus-Community Engagement
Anne Weiss
Description
Most campuses are eager to answer the question “How are the constituents of my campus working with our community (its people, organizations, assets, etc.) to address today’s wicked problems?” We will explore this question in our workshop by reviewing tracking and monitoring activities that can lead to systematic assessment and evaluation of campus-community activities. In addition to exploring and planning for tracking and monitoring we will identify the variety of “impact” areas available for deep and meaningful inquiry, such as: students, faculty, community, and institution or organizational impact. This session will give participants tools, strategies, and information to design, initiate and/or enhance systematic mechanisms for collecting data on campus-community engagement activities across your institution.
