Connected PhD Fellow
Moriah King is a doctoral student in the Department of Anthropology at Brandeis University and serves as a Connected PhD Fellow within the Department of Community Service. She found her way to Brandeis after volunteering with Peace Corps in China (2015-2017) and after a few years spent working in Washington, D.C. as a programmatic data analyst for the AmeriCorps program. She is passionate about gaining a better understanding of the politics and policies that shape urban environments and is equally passionate about working alongside local farmers, community organizers, and residents to improve healthy food access for all by finding ways of creating more sustainable and regional food systems. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, taking photos, and walking for as long as she can stand New England’s cold weather.
